OUR SERVICES DESCRIBED

Our therapists have a deep understanding of physiology and anatomy and strive to bring you relief and relaxation as soon as your very first appointment.

Sports Injury

Sport Massage

Sports Massage is becoming a standard athletic routine for both industry professionals and weekend warriors. The reasons for its popularity are quite self-explanatory: sports massage improves blood circulation, extends flexibility, decreases recovery time, and as a result, allows athletes to perform better.

Using a combination of circulatory, deep tissue, and trigger point therapy, our therapist will help you relieve pain, promote proper fluid flow to reduce swelling, and perform better as an athlete.

Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue Massage is a technique focused on addressing a specific problem, such as chronic muscle pain, injury rehabilitation, or issues occurring in the deeper soft tissue and fascial layers of the body. This technique uses slow, concentrated pressure and slow strokes directed at the deep layers of the muscle and fascia where tissue has been damaged. It provides an extremely effective means of releasing chronic aches and pain or tension in the body and allows for more permanent changes to occur.

It's normal to feel some soreness after a Deep Tissue massage, but it lasts no longer than 2 days and can be ameliorated using body stretching.

Please note that Deep Tissue massage may not be allowed for people with blood clots (thrombophlebitis, thrombosis); additional consultation would be needed before the procedure.

Massage Cupping

Cupping is a safe, traditional treatment technique that resolves muscle tightness and pain more quickly than a massage alone.

We use plastic cups instead of glass ones and apply them to an area of tension, followed by keeping the cup standing at this position for a short time to increase blood flow and lift the tissue. Alternatively, cups can be moved over the specific areas being treated. The suction from the cups increases circulation to the area where it is placed. The additional blood flow to that area can help relieve muscle tension and promote cell repair.

Cupping massage's other advantages include reducing the appearance of cellulite, improving varicose and spider veins, reducing stretch marks and scars, lowering anxiety, releasing toxins, and others.

Neuromuscular Therapy

Practice shows that most pain and discomfort in the body can be caused by trigger points located outside of the areas of sensation. Neuromuscular Therapy is a form of manual therapy that applies very specific pressure to these trigger points in order to eliminate irritation, reduce pain, and restore normal nerve and muscular function.

Some longstanding pains that have otherwise been untreatable can be successfully treated via Neuromuscular and Trigger Point Therapy, which restores the balance between the nervous and musculoskeletal systems.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial tissues are tough, densely woven connective tissue that wrap, connect, and support your muscles throughout the body from head to toe. It's a sort of web that holds everything together: muscles, organs, ligaments, blood vessels, nerves, skeletal structures, and more. The Myofascial Release technique addresses this tissue.

Because of its interconnected nature, restrictions in one area can cause postural distortions in the other areas of your body. And while muscles often respond to the firmer strokes and thrusts of massage, fascia responds to milder manipulations — slow, sustained, gentle pressure touches — with the goal of making the connective tissue fibers reorganize and align themselves in a more flexible and functional way.

Orthopedic Massage

Orthopedic Massage is a type of injury rehabilitation protocol that focuses on the muscles and soft tissues surrounding the body's joints.

Orthopedic Massage Therapy focuses on healing muscles and relieving pain from different origins (such as post-surgical pain, an injury, or the result of repetitive motion activities like tennis or jogging). While restoring balance to the tissues and physical structures, Orthopedic Massage also helps muscles build strength.
